Scott J. Wildman, CPA/ABV, CVA
Scott joined Vrakas/Blum in 1986. In his current role, he serves as the shareholder-in-charge of Business Valuation and Litigation Support as well as a member of the firm’s board of directors. Scott is responsible for identifying his clients’ needs and thoroughly researching and analyzing each situation to apply the most appropriate and accurate valuation methodology. He also provides support for the firm’s audit and tax practices.
Prior to joining Vrakas/Blum, Scott worked as an intern in an international firm’s Small Business Audit Department. With over two decades of experience, he has played an integral role in developing Vrakas/Blum’s Business Valuation and Litigation Support practice. Scott is a full-time service provider, focusing on helping his clients overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. In his recent engagements, he has effectively assisted in shareholder transitions, implementing succession planning, assisting clients in acquiring business interests and creating property division options for multiple marital dissolution cases. Scott has also helped various businesses maximize their value through proper merger and acquisition planning and execution.
Scott attributes his successful career to his commitment to his profession and his clients. He also considers teamwork and the fact that he is surrounded by good people at Vrakas/Blum significant factors in his success. As an active member in professional and local business organizations, Scott is as a frequent speaker on topics related to business valuation. His recent presentations include, “Intellectual Property Valuation Considerations,” “Business Valuation for Estate Planning and Divorce Attorneys,” “Understanding Business Tax Returns” and “An Introduction to Financial Statements,” among other business valuation and financial statement related topics.
While away from the office, Scott enjoys activities with his children, coaching youth soccer, biking and fishing. He is also an active member of his church. Scott participates in the Men’s Ministry Leadership Team, Youth Ministry activities and teaches Sunday school. He and his wife, Karen, reside in Pewaukee with their two boys.
